1) Tubing and Cross Country Skiing at Five Pines

Mark your calendar's now!  This season's Tubing and Cross Country Skiing have been scheduled for the following dates:

Friday, January 14, 2011 from 10 am - 2 pm
Friday, February 11, 2011 from 10 am - 2 pm

At Five Pines Retreat Center in Berrien Springs. Tubing or Skiing is $6 for the day or both for $9.  Bring a sack lunch or eat at the snack bar.  If you have questions or would like to RSVP contact Diane Day 269-370-4589.  SEE YA THERE! PRAY FOR SNOW!

2) Niles Extended School Community Update

Niles Extended School Community is pleased to announce updated changes to the Home School program.

Minimum offerings are: 1 Seated Class and 1 Virtual Class.
Maximum offerings are: 2 Seated, 2 Virtual Classes and 2 Community Resource Classes.

For those of you interested in Dual Enrollment we are offering 1 Seated Class, 1 Virtual Class and then you may take up to 2 College classes with a cap at $275.00 per class.  This stipulation is for this semester only.

With Community Resource Classes filling up fast, please get your registrations or intent to register in as fast as possible to Gail Bliss at blissfamily@gmail.com or 269-683-0439.  Please contact Gail for a full list of Community Resource Classes and Virtual classes.

3) Mid-Winter Conference

With Christmas just around the corner, now is the time to make your plans to join us at Mid-Winter Conference 2011.  January 28 and 29 will provide you with a special time of refreshment that you do not want to miss as we head towards the upcoming winter months.

Consider making Mid-Winter Conference a gift to your spouse this Christmas – one or two nights spent away together while enjoying all Mid-Winter Conference has to offer is a perfect Christmas gift and it will come just when it is needed the most – the middle of the upcoming Michigan winter!

Join us in welcoming some of our tried and true vendors like – Books Bloom, Nature's Workshop, Lifetime Books and Miller Pads and Papers. Bringing new ideas and products to Mid-Winter will be Cornerstone Curriculum and YWAM Publishing- along with keynote speakers David Quine and Carol Barnier!

Pre-registration is ongoing but these prices will end on January 14.

4)  Lost and found from games night

We got this message from someone after the last games night.  Does the sweatshirt belong to you?  If so email us at homeschoolhub@yahoo.com and let us know.

"Somehow in our bundle we took home a sweatshirt that says "erms ridgefield".  I want to get it back to the person who owns it.  Do you know who it belongs to?"

LETTING IT RIDE:

The Homeschool HUB is continuing to collect Campbell Soup labels, Campbell's Chunky Soup labels, Campbell's Healthy Request labels, Campbell's Select harvest, Franco-American, Pepperidge Farm, Spaghettios, Swanson, V-8 Beverages, V-8 Fusion, Prego Italian Sauces and Campbell's Food Service.   Give your labels to any board member or bring them to our homeschool functions.

We are still accepting Boxtops for education labels.  You can find these on many products.

Go to Boxtops for Education.org for more info, and then SAVE SAVE SAVE  those labels.  Each one nets 10 cents and every 10 cents adds up. You can give them to any HUB board director or bring them to any of our functions that we will be having.  Thank-you!
