4) The Crucible performance in South Bend

In an age where one's reputation can so quickly be tarnished by a blogpost or tweet, we do well to think before we "speak".  Trinity School at Greenlawn's senior class will perform "The Crucible" by Arthur Miller, which deals directly with the questions of honesty, justice and reputation. The performance will take place in the Trinity School auditorium on Friday, May 18 at 7:30. The play is based on the historical event of the Salem witch trials of 1692.  Miller wrote this play in 1953 to mirror the anti-communist hysteria inspired by Senator Joseph McCarthy. Miller himself was called before the House Un-American Activities Committee in 1956 and asked to name people in the theater community whom he knew were members of the communist party in America. This play is open to the public. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children, and $16 for families. For more information, please call 574-287-5590.

5)  Outreach for World Hope Benefit--tomorrow!

The last two years students from Trinity School's Life Committee have hosted a concert for the benefit of a charity. This year, students will be giving proceeds to Outreach for World Hope, a Christian organization that focuses helping the poor in the Chiquimula region of Guatemala. Many of the school's students have gone on mission trips to this region to feed and cloth many in need. The benefit will take place on Saturday, May 12 at 7:30, at the Trinity School Athletic Center- 53666 N. Ironwood Dr.. Student band, Liquid Rabbit, will be playing and tickets are $7 at the door. For more information, please contact Wendy Baxter at wbaxter@trinityschools.org or 574-315-3755.

PHONE NEEDED

Boost mobile phone needed

The Homeschool Hub is currently in need of an upgraded cell phone for Boost Mobile. This is our groups phone and we get calls from parents with questions about homeschooling. Very needful. However, our current phone is very outdated. We are told that we may not get calls because of the system on the old phone.

If you happen to have an old Boost Mobile phone with CDMI (updated coverage), we would appreciate the donation. It will go to a good cause. We would be willing to trade this old dinosaur!

Thank you
