1) Spelling Bee
The Spelling Bee is fast approaching but it's not too late to sign up! Registration is only $15. There are prizes just for participating! This is a great opportunity to hone those spelling skills AND take part in some healthy competition.
Email me for Spelling Lists if you haven't received them yet. Deadline to sign up is November 30.

2) FabLab and Robotics Schedules at LMC
The FabLab and Robotics schedules are set for spring semester at LMC. See attached files for details.
3) Fort St. Joseph Museum Hosts Holiday Open House
The Fort St. Joseph Museum will host its Holiday Open House Saturday, December 1, 2012, from 10:00am to 1:00pm. The Open House theme is: First Carriage House Christmas by Cornelius Chapin Mouse.
There will be activities for children of all ages including crafts and a Christmas history hunt. Each child will also receive a bag of treats to take home. A very special visitor – Cornelius Chapin Mouse!! - will be happy to greet and have pictures taken with children of all ages.
Numerous area people are providing assistance for the open house. Members of the Brandywine High School History Club will be helping at the craft tables. The wonderful holiday decorations are being provided by St. Mary's Elementary School students. Niles artist Heather Van Dyke Pletcher is providing a beautiful, fun coloring page for one of the crafts and an enlarged color copy of the page to be mounted in the museum entrance to welcome everyone to the open house.
There is no admission charge to the museum and all program activities are free. Please join us! (See attached flyer for more info.)

4) Michiana Christian Co-op Art Classes
Michiana Covenant Academy art students work with a wide range of media to create original designs based on studied art. K-2, 3-5 and 6-8 follow 3 year rotations and 9-12 a four year rotation based on both time periods and cultures. Our certified teachers explore both 2D and 3D with an emphasis on learning styles, techniques, drawing and exploration. We also offer a fine arts drawing class and a class in graphic design for grades 7-12. Michiana Covenant Academy only serves homeschool students and we have many other classes available. The HUB is a volunteer organization. Without the support and participation of homeschool families, we can't function effectively. There are several benefits of membership including a resource library that includes things like laptops, video cameras and other items to borrow. Members receive first chance at events and classes when availability is limited. The cost of membership is only $24/year. Information about becoming a member is on the website at www.hshub.org

The Homeschool HUB is continuing to collect Campbell Soup labels, Campbell's Chunky Soup labels, Campbell's Healthy Request labels, Campbell's Select harvest, Franco-American, Pepperidge Farm, Spaghettios, Swanson, V-8 Beverages, V-8 Fusion, Prego Italian Sauces and Campbell's Food Service. Give your labels to any board member or bring them to our homeschool functions.

We are still accepting Boxtops for education labels. You can find these on many products.
Go to Boxtops for Education.org for more info, and then SAVE SAVE SAVE those labels. Each one nets 10 cents and every 10 cents adds up. You can give them to any HUB board member or bring them to any functions that we have. Thank-you!
