GENERAL INTEREST

G1) Brain Warmer Upper
G2) Scotland Trip with Landmark Events
G3) STEM Curriculum for Homeschoolers

G1) Brain Warmer Upper

This week's puzzle:

The king of Persia offers a guest a tour of his city. As the two of them are walking, the king points at a beggar with a donkey and says, "that man there is the richest man in the city apart from me."  The visitor asks,"how?"  The king replies, "well, he seems to be smuggling something, but we don't know when he does it," so the minister comes up with the idea of having guards search him whenever he goes in or out of the city but this plan does not work.

What does the man smuggle?

Answer to last week's puzzle:
The letter N.

G2) Scotland Trip with Landmark Events

William Wallace and Robert the Bruce. John Knox and Samuel Rutherford. You know their names, but do you know their true story? For two weeks in September, our experienced guides Bill Potter and Colin Gunn, will lead an unprecedented providential history tour of the land of the ancient Picts and Celts in Scotland. We will follow the footsteps of William Wallace and Robert the Bruce to the battlefields, castles (especially castles!), and memorials of their bygone era. We will recite the history of the godly Covenanters who met in the fields and defied tyrannical monarchs to the death.

3 Options: Lowlands or Highlands... Or Both!

Our paths will lead us to the lowlands and the highlands and the isles. Our Lowlands leg includes Edinburgh, Stirling, Glasgow, Hamilton, St. Andrews, Lanark, Bannockburn, Dumfries and much more, while the Highlands leg incorporates Culloden, Loch Ness, Fort William, Glen Coe, Kilmartin, Inverness, Mull and Iona! Can't decide? Choose "The Whole Haggis" and go on both legs... and save $500 per person!

G3) STEM Curriculum for Homeschoolers

Editor's Note:  I looked at some of these classes, and the normal price was $1500--so, $25 seems like quite a deal if any of them are of interest.

Come hear an expert share pertinent, relevant, research-based information about how marijuana is addictive, has been shown to cause schizophrenia, lowers IQ and more. With facts and information you will not be anxious, depressed or panic-stricken, all side effects of using marijuana. Come be part of the discussion. You matter in your child's life.
