1) Michiana Covenant Academy is pleased to present an informational session with Mr. Gabriel Brown on November 5 at 7:00pm.  We invite area homeschoolers to come join us as we hear  about the requirements and admissions process for attending Notre Dame.  This is a great opportunity to get your questions answered by someone with first-hand  knowledge about the ins and outs of the admissions process at a top-ranked university!
 
Where:  Michiana Covenant Church, 14567 Cleveland Road (between Fir and Capital)
When:  Thursday, November 5, at 7:00pm
Who:  Any homeshooling parent and/or student wishing to learn more about the Notre Dame admissions process.
Cost:  None
 
Childcare is not provided for this event.
 
2) Michigan Community Blood Centers has an excellent educational resource for Berrien County's home school community--the Blood Centers' Education Program field trips for grades 1-12.  Student learn about blood and blood donation, tour the blood center and possibly watch blood being donated.  Go here for more information:  http://miblood.org/services/education.html.  You may also contact Karen Ziebart at 269-408-1540 ext. 704 or kziebart@miblood.org.
 
3)  All Berrien County 5th graders and teachers are invited to learn about our Earth and all its wonderful natural resources at Natural Resource Day on Wed., April 21, 2010at the Berrien County Youth Fairgrounds in Berrien Springs.  The program runs from 9:45 am to 12:30 pm.  NR Day is free, but participation is by reservation only.  Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis, so contact Jill Adams by Nov. 20: jadams@berriencounty.org.
