1) Homeschool Showcase

On Saturday, May 1st, at the Bertrand Crossing Campus of LMC we will be having our Homeschool Showcase from 10am – 2pm.  Save the date on your calendar!  It's a celebration of all that we've been doing this year.  The robotics tables will be set up with ongoing demonstrations and the Fab Lab will be open for demonstrations as well as having student projects displayed.  Art projects will be on display.  There will also be chess lessons from 12:30 to 2:00 with homeschool dad Marty Klubeck.  If your student would like to set up a display or perform, they are welcome.  It's a great time to bring family members, people considering homeschooling, and those who support you in your educational choice.  To arrange a time to perform or a table space for display call Kathy Joyce at 269 695-1654.

2) Free concert with lunch

7th and 8th graders are invited to enjoy a woodwind quintet at the Howard Performing Arts Center at Andrews University in Berrien Springs on April 29 at 11:00--AND--enjoy a free lunch afterward!  RSVP to Liz Andrews at 269-471-7725 ext. 1331.

3) Life for Christ Karate Ministries is hosting an open house on May 3, 1-4 p.m. (homeschool classes) and 5-8 p.m at Calvary Baptist Church, 3001 W. Cleveland Rd in South Bend.  Come see classes in action and find out what Christian martial arts is all about!  You may contact Marc or Jenny England with questions: 574-514-3199.

4) Junior/Senior Banquet

The Event is a special formal activity for homeschooled high school juniors and seniors.  The evening will consist of a meal, entertainment, mixer games, and activities.  Performing will be Tommee Profitt, a Christian artist whose style is comparable to that of Michael W. Smith and Chris Tomlin… piano-driven rock/worship tunes.  Check him out at www.tommeeprofitt.com.

This will all be happening at the Life Action Camp on Clear Lake , just west of Buchanan , MI .  It will be on May 7, from 6:30 -10:30pm.

The cost is $30/ticket and a date is not needed to attend, though you may bring a date – if you do so, please refrain from physical displays of affection during the evening.  The signup deadline is April 17.  Call Tammy Rensberger at 695-5804 to get dinner choices and the address to send your check.

5) Robotics and Fab Lab summer camps

These week long summer camps at LMC were announced several weeks ago.  They are offering Robotics, Engineering & Fab Lab, and Entrepreneurship & Fab Lab.  This is just a reminder in case you haven't signed up yet but were planning to do so.  Fliers about these camps go out this week to all the public schools.  If you want to be assured of a spot call 269 695-2990 to sign up.
