G1)  Project FeederWatch

Every year thousands of people watch backyard birds and then share their observations with Project FeederWatch—now in its 26th year.

Anyone with an interest in birds is invited to join this great community of people who contribute to scientific knowledge about birds just by doing what they already love to do—watch birds at their feeders.

Join Now and Get 2 Seasons for the Price of 1!

Beginning February 1, new Project FeederWatch participants will be enrolled in the remainder of this season (ending April 5)—plus you'll be signed up for the entire 2013–14 season, at no extra charge.

That's two seasons of FeederWatch for a single $15 sign-up fee. When you join FeederWatch, you get a research kit that includes a bird ID poster, a wall calendar, a bird feeding guide, and a tally sheet.

MICHIANA EVENTS AND OPPORTUNITIES

1) Bus Tour to Detroit
2) Volunteers Needed for Robotics Event
3)  The Bethel College Collegians Present an Evening of Music, Dance and Theatre

1) Bus Tour to Detroit

ART IN THE STRANGEST PLACES
Detroit MI  April 19

This tour changes all the time.  We'll see a lot of outdoor art as well as indoor pictures in the strangest places.  From high end to bizarre collections.  We're visiting two artist studios and seeing their work in Detroit and suburbs.  This is an off-the-beaten track kind of trip. Lunch is always part of the art. Lots of speakers here.  Did you know that Southeastern Michigan is home to some of the most jaw-dropping monuments of arts? Discover the secret historic places in the Metro Detroit Area of famous artists, their students and apprentices. On and off the beaten path and little known gems that are not on the usual tours. Two artist studios will be featured as well as ghosts captured in limestone, rogue & villain historic figures, portals to outer space (I kid you not) and much more on this entertaining day trip.  $80.00/person

More info:  http://www.steponbustours.com

2) Volunteers Needed for Robotics Event

We are in desperate need of 4 more referees for the event on March 15 and 16. Previous exposure would be preferable, but having the underlying ability is more important. We will train the right people! If you're willing to consider it, please email st.josephfrcevent@gmail.com

Thank you!!!!!

co-volunteer coordinator

(please note, we do not have a Wednesday requirement as this description states. There may not even be a Thursday, depending on the training needs of the volunteers and the discretion of the head referee.)

3)  The Bethel College Collegians Present an Evening of Music, Dance and Theatre

The Bethel College Collegians will present "Zeitgeist!" on Friday, Mar. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center – Auditorium.

"Zeitgeist!" is an evening of fun combining music, dance and theatre. The music department looks for ways to incorporate contemporary musical theatre pieces with entertaining and beautiful music. This year's show will be a nostalgic evening of musical comedy blending musical theatre, tap dance, music based on children's tales, and music of the big bands, as well as heartfelt slapstick humor and sarcasm!

General seating tickets are available through the Bethel box office at $7 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Call 574.807.7080. Don't miss this entertaining night of comedy and surprise!
