Tickets:          $29.50 full price
$19.50 Student Groups of 20-50 people
$14.50 Student Groups of 50+people

Nobel and Pulitzer Prize-winner John Steinbeck's tale of two drifters is one of the most widely read stories in America. Of Mice and Men tells the tragic story of two California migrant ranch workers during the Great Depression. The Acting Company, which brings this classic to life, has garnered critical acclaim on a national scale through 39 seasons of classic, contemporary, and new plays. The New York Times heralds, "The Acting Company endures as the major touring classical theater in the United States."

About the play
George and Lennie have delusions of making enough money to buy their own place. Lennie, a man-child, is a little boy in the body of a man. George is ever cautious of his gentle giant friend, dangerously powerful yet in need of constant reassurance.

Although Steinbeck emphasizes dreams throughout this work, his characters are often powerless, due to intellectual, economic, and social realities. Fate is felt most heavily as George is left to face the question of how to deal with Lennie who, although in great danger, dreams only of their future, of their farm—as the sound of destiny bounces off the mountains.

The Acting Company presents As You Like It
Wednesday, March 20, 7 p.m. at The Lake Michigan College Mendel Center

Tickets:          $29.50 full price
$19.50 Student Groups of 20-50 people
$14.50 Student Groups of 50+people

All the world's a stage…
One of Shakespeare's most frequently quoted passages from one of his most popular fairy tales—a world possible only on a stage. As You Like It is a metaphor of love; its power, madness, danger, humor, and reflection. The Acting Company, which brings this classic to life in modern-day form, has garnered critical acclaim on a national scale through 39 seasons of classic, contemporary, and new plays. The New York Times heralds, "The Acting Company endures as the major touring classical theater in the United States."

About the play
On one level it is a diverting amusement. On a deeper level, it is a journey of discovery, in which the characters gain knowledge of themselves and the world. When Rosalind and Orlando fall in love, they are unable to act on their feelings. Forced to flee for their lives into the Forest of Arden, they find themselves entangled in a beguiling game of love, lust, and mistaken identity in one of Shakespeare's great comedies. Will the forest heal the family feud?

ENCHANTMENT THEATRE COMPANY Presents THE VELVETEEN RABBIT
Saturday, March 23, 2 p.m.

$17 full price/ $12 for groups of 10 or more

"When a child loves you for a long, long time…then you become real." So says the Horse to the Velveteen Rabbit in Margery Williams' famous and much-loved literary classic. A plush rabbit, given as a gift to a young boy, yearns for the day the boy will choose him as his special playmate, so that he can become real. This innovative production combines the theatrical magic and signature style of Enchantment Theatre with the musical magic of Tony®, Emmy® and Grammy® Award-winning composer/arranger Don Sebesky. With an original musical score, life-sized puppets, masks, and magic, Enchantment Theatre Company brings to life this charming tale of love and devotion, creating an unforgettable theatrical experience for the whole family.

Enchantment Theatre Company has produced original theater for school groups and families since 2000, when it was established as a non-profit arts organization in Philadelphia. Building on the more than 30 years of theatrical experience of its artistic directors, Enchantment quickly has become known for high quality imaginative productions, not only in its home city, but throughout the United States and the Far East.
