2)  Summer Camps for Girls

Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) is offering three unique camps to young women grades 6 - 9. We believe young women attending these camps will gain valuable information on topics of leadership, team building, problem-solving skills, communication, STEM (science, math, engineering and technology) or environmental science. Local women executives, special guest speakers and faculty will mentor and share their expertise with your students during these camps.

Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College is located just 10 minutes northwest of Terre Haute, Ind., and is listed among the top five percent of the best colleges in the Midwest by the US News and World Report's College Guide.  Please visit us at www.smwc.edu and for more camp information for both boys and girls, visit www.smwc.edu/camp2014.  See attached flyer for more info.

3) MI Big Green Gym/Activities Pass

Looking for ways to get out and explore Michigan this summer? Try the MI Big Green Gym and the Michigan Activities Pass programs!

Niles District Library is proud to be one of the locations to have the MI Big Green Gym free one day pass to Michigan's 102 state parks and hundreds of state forest pathways and campgrounds. MI Big Green Gym program is designed to promote overall well-being and a healthy lifestyle through parks and recreation facilities. To get a pass, come to the library and stop at either the Circulation Desk or the Information Desk. Some restrictions apply.

Explorers can also access the Michigan Activity Pass (MAP) program through the Niles District Library. The Michigan Activity Pass, presented by The Library Network, is a partnership between Michigan's nearly 400 public libraries and 70+ arts and cultural organizations. The program is designed to enhance the learning experience for people of all ages through books and other library materials, and to provide reduced cost or complimentary access to arts and cultural organizations across the state of Michigan. More information and MAP access is available at www.nileslibrary.com.

As always, any offering by the Niles District Library is free to the public. For more information, check out nileslibrary.com or call 269-683-8545 x111.
